We sat down with the team to ask some important questions to better understand how Weddings of Distinction can help you.

Q: If you could give one piece of advice to couples who are in the planning process, what would it be?
A: Don’t let your seating allocations get away from you!

Putting together seating allocations and charts can be a stressful element of the wedding planning process (especially when family politics are involved!).  You’ll often have scenarios such as “that cousin doesn’t talk to the other cousin”, or “that friend used to date someone who’s now engaged to another friend” etc.  

Make the process simpler by starting a spreadsheet and recording every acceptance (also noting dietary requirements in a separate column). In a separate tab or spreadsheet, start a list of tables and number them. With every name added to your acceptance list, allocate that guest to a table in your separate list (adding their dietary requirements too).  This way, when you get to the stage of having to allocate guests to tables, this task is primarily done. 

You may need to make a few tweaks; however, you’ll find that this eliminates a daunting task and will make one of the most stressful wedding planning jobs simple!

Q: We’d like to seat more than 30 guests at our ceremony, can we hire additional chairs from you?
A: Absolutely! We offer the same style of ceremony chair as Encore St Kilda for rooftop ceremonies, so you are more than welcome to add additional seating if required.

Q: I’ve seen your range of silk floral options and would like to know if we can select one of these instead of what’s on offer through Encore St Kilda.
A: You are most welcome to upgrade to a different silk floral arrangement for the arbour.  Please feel free to touch base with your preferred option so and can confirm availability on your wedding date and provide you with a quotation for the upgrade.

Q: Do you offer centrepieces for receptions?
A: We have an extensive range of centrepiece options available for hire. From candelabras to candlesticks, to silk floral centrepieces – we have something to suit all styles and budgets. We also offer candle hire (such as pillar, sand and a range of tea light options). If you’re looking for a wishing well, we can help too!
